Understanding
People don’t understand everything that bands at our level sacrifice to make things work. There is this assumption that if you’re signed then all your problems go away and that your label pays for everything. We don’t make any money, we hardly eat, and if we do eat its 3 or 4 dollars worth of fast food a day. We make outrageously long drives on little to no sleep, we hardly get to shower and we don’t see our significant others/loved ones for months at a time. We do it though because we love playing music. With that being said, sometimes fans need to understand that some things are out of our control. Nobody really understands what goes on behind the scenes, we’re more than just those guys from that band. We have our own lives outside of music filled with problems just like everyone else. Its easy to look in from the outside and say we don’t have our shit together, but if you knew how hard we worked then you would understand. All the love and support from fans makes this time so much easier to deal with and I really do appreciate it. However, if you have nothing but negative things to say, then you were never a friend or a fan.
